Elder-Abuse

Elder Abuse Awareness

in Farsi Speaking

Community

The main objective of this project is to increase the public awareness about the elder mistreatment and senior abuse in the community. To achieve this goal, this project runs a series of 8 educational seminars, open to the public, both in Farsi and English languages to introduce the various forms of the abuse and methods to prevent, avoid and report the abusive behavior. These seminars will be offered with professional social workers and psychologists with expertise in elder abuse. In addition, the project will publish and distribute educational articles and informative brochures to inform other groups in the community and ensure a comprehensive awareness of elder abuse.
